Here's The Role
Do you have a strong creative flair and enthusiasm for storytelling and content development? Become a Learning & Development Specialist for the Safety department with Lower Colorado River Authority in Austin, TX. In this role, you will help make safety training programs both engaging and effective. You will partner with subject matter experts to craft innovative training content and manage the LMS system. This opportunity offers a chance to support safety learning and development projects within a supportive team environment!
How You’ll Contribute
- Develop and build engaging safety-related training programs alongside subject matter experts and other learning & development specialists.
- Implement dynamic visuals, animated content, and video production to improve training materials.
- Assist in the management and optimization of our learning management system.
- Handle various projects at once while formulating approaches for process improvements.
- Assist our safety training initiatives to guarantee seamless implementation.
How You’re Qualified
- Six or more years of experience in companywide and/or operational training and development programs or other relevant experience.
- A degree(s) in human resource management, business administration, or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Driver's license
How You’ll Stand Out
- Background in narrative-focused learning and idea-driven writing.
- Experience in motion graphics, animations, and videography.
- Experience in Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, or other content creation tools.
- Ability to successfully implement innovative training strategies.
- Ability to take compliance driven concepts and turn it into compelling, relatable stories and materials that employees can connect with.
- Proven ability to collaborate closely and engage productively with colleagues.
