Salary: $95,000-$110,000

The Director of Learning and Development is responsible for aligning the training strategy with the organizational goals and vision . This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives. The role collaborates with senior management, department heads, and external partners to identify the training needs and priorities of the workforce and identifies and arranges suitable educational solutions for employees . This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate staff and enhance performance. The person in this role oversees the assessment, development and implementation of training programs, courses, and materials. They ensure that the training content is relevant, engaging, and effective. They also manage the budget, resources, and staff of the training department, and monitor and report on the impact and outcomes of the training initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
Leadership
- Develops learning and development programs and objectives, utilizing various delivery models (live workshops, on-line learning, experiential learning, microlearning tools, etc.) to deliver content in an efficient and effective manner.
- Implements innovative approaches to teaching desired skills or attributes according to the needs of the organization’s culture and designs more efficient teaching practices, and modifies programs as needed.
- Assists with the development of succession planning.
- Administers spending against the departmental budget.
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
- Works effectively as a team member with other members of leadership and the Human Capital team.
Communication
- Fosters a 'culture of learning' within WIN, which includes personal collaboration with individual managers/employees to address specific needs.
- Develops and maintains organizational communication with the company's employees on every level to promote the program and plan for additional training.
Collaboration
- Obtains and /or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
- Teaches the desired coursework themselves or assesses the teaching abilities of employees and/or outside subject matter experts (SME’s) to teach required coursework.
- Conducts follow-up of completed training to evaluate results of the program and suggests ways to improve content and delivery.
- Use performance reviews and skills gap analyses to identify training needs for the respective departments/programs.
- Implement coaching sessions and mentorship programs to establish a culture of continuous learning.
Facilitation
- Conducts annual training and development needs assessment.
- Ensure that all training offerings are created with a DEIB lens.
- Develops and manages new hire orientation to provide a welcoming organizational introduction to new employees.
- Manages, evaluates, and customizes the Learning Management System (LMS) to suit the changing needs of the organization.
- Trains and coaches managers, supervisors, and others involved in employee development efforts.
- Plans, organizes, facilitates and orders supplies for employee development and training events.
- Ensures and measures active participation in learning across the organization.
Essential Functions
- Must be able to sit at a computer for the majority of the workday.
- Must be able to use public transportation to attend Win meetings and other related events.
Required Skills/Abilities

- Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and types of employees.
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
- Ability to design, implement and deliver effective training and development programs.
Required Qualifications
- Commitment to Win’s mission, vision, and values.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
- Three to five years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs.
- Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential preferred.
- Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
- Familiarization with LMS utilization (we use Docebo).
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters’ Degree
- SHRM-CP or SCP certification.
