What's this role about?

As a member of the People Team, this role provides direct support to Auvik's leaders and employees by driving initiatives that impact employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, talent management, performance management, operational efficiency, DEI and culture. The People Business Partner acts as a trusted advisor providing guidance and support to assigned teams and leaders on all areas of the employee experience.

What will I be doing?

  • Work closely with leaders and employees to ensure an awesome employee experience, build engagement, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Proactively partner with leaders to understanding the nature of their business, the work they do and the solutions needed related to their people.
  • Provide proactive consultation with leaders, providing guidance and coaching on a wide range of topics from total rewards, engagement, development, org design
  • Leverage behavioural analysis tool (Predictive Index) to support leaders in cultivating well-rounded and highly efficient teams, while also conducting team sessions to enhance team members' comprehension of their working styles and preferences.
  • As a natural coach, foster relationships with employees, to build relationships, create a strong culture and support their needs
  • Assist leaders with managing and resolving employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations as required.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance, partnering with the legal resources as needed/required.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance on employee performance and growth to people leaders.
  • Consult on changes, new or non standard, situations related to contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
  • Partner with business on corporate programs / processes, such as compensation planning, surveys, recruitment programs, employer branding etc.
  • Continue to build Auvik's culture by being a role model of our values, supporting a productive distributed global work environment, implementing innovative programs and opportunities that nurture employee engagement.

What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrated success in cultivating strong relationships at all levels within companies to achieve results.
  • Experience with proven success in a business partner role in a high growth environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, (written and oral). Great listening skills.
  • Solid knowledge of People practices as well as relevant employment legislation to build trust and provide sound solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a bias for action.
  • Flexible, curious, growth mindset.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Business acumen, with an ability to think strategically.
  • Experience working in a global environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with various progressive HR tools and systems.
  • Experience working with remote-first teams would be an asset.
