An exciting vacancy exists at O.R Tambo International Airport for an experienced Learning & Development Consultant within the Human Resources division.
Key Performance Output
The candidates will be reporting to the Manager Skills Development and Training and will be responsible but not limited to the following:
- Anticipate and plan for circumstances that may influence the development and implementation of the functional strategic plan.
- Support the meeting of agreed turnaround times while curbing costs.
- Remain up to date with legislation and the industry in general.
- Provide input into the development of the business plan.
- Provision of timely and accurate reports in accordance with business and management requirements.
- Analyse business plans, develop and implement functional plans. Provide input into sub-functional planning.
- Compile and submit reports on training interventions.
- Provide specialised technical / professional advisory service and support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectives.
- Manage the effectiveness of Workplace Skills Planning and reporting, quality control and operational training delivery.
- Conduct training needs analysis for the business unit.
- Develop, and implement the workplace skills plan as and submit annual training report for the Business Unit.
- Implementation of learning and development related AA measures. Develop interventions to meet EE targets.
- Partner with business to ensure that all learning and development needs are addressed in line with company strategic objectives.
- Manage, implement and the end-to-end employee bursary process.
- Manage the Children of employee’s study support program.
Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required:
- Degree (3 years - 360 credits) in Human Resources is essential.
- Honours Degree in Industrial Psychology/Human Resources is recommended.
- 3-5 years operational HR Generalist or HRD experience is essential.
- 1-year operational experience as Skills Development Facilitator is advantageous.
- Registration as Skills Development Facilitator is recommended.
- Registration with SABPP is recommended.
- MS Office proficiency on an intermediate level.
