The AVP of Talent, Learning & Development is charged with the strategic development and delivery of enterprise-wide talent initiatives that engage and develop more than 60,000 associates across the Bath and Body Works organization. The work includes but is not limited to… collaborating with leaders and other business partners to conduct talent reviews/OLRs, managing the Associate Opinion Survey (AOS), leading the organization’s performance management cycle, designing career & leadership development programs, providing curated development experiences for high-potential talent, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the SVP Talent Management to enhance and continuously improve the organization’s talent management framework related to performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and alignment learning and development offerings to enable outstanding organizational, team, and associate/business performance across the brand.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive, integrated organizational development processes to attract, develop, identify, empower, and retain productive, engaged employees.
  • Ensure appropriate onboarding and orientation programs are in place to ensure Home Office and Store associates can quickly get up to speed.
  • Work collaboratively with key business partners across the Home Office, Stores, and DCs to implement strategies that ensure BBW culture and values are integrated into our core talent processes.
  • Bring innovative, evidence-based approaches to talent management and adult learning programs to enable the tracking of measurable outcomes.
  • Develop, design, and deliver learning & development solutions to support organizational needs using various delivery methods (e.g., instructor-led training, e-learning, blended learning, etc.)
  • Evaluate and evolve our performance management processes to produce a process and system that improves outcomes and delivers a high return on investment.
  • Lead the Associate Survey processes – Annual, Onboarding, and Exit – including survey design, execution, analysis, and communication. Maintain the relationship with the survey vendor. Provide HR Business Partners and Division/Department Managers with survey reporting, assist with interpreting results, and drive the timing of the action planning process.
  • Lead multiple vendor relationships in support of training initiatives, assessment tools, and designated system needs. Assist in conducting RFP processes and contract negotiations and oversee vendor engagements.
  • Find opportunities to fulfill BBW’s commitment to Diversity and Inclusion by developing processes that provide equitable access to career progression through training, coaching, and programs.
  • Lead and mentor a talent development and learning professionals team, providing guidance, support, and feedback to drive their professional growth and development.
  • Act as a change agent by identifying and using opportunities to collaborate across functions and business units to further the development of BBW’s diverse talent while driving business outcomes.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in learning and development, organizational development, or a related field, focusing on leadership development and employee engagement, talent management, training & development, and performance management.
  • Experience designing and implementing various learning and development programs, including e-learning, blended learning, and virtual learning solutions.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of their work.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading and developing a team of learning and development professionals.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal/influence skills in dealing with all levels, develop relationships within the organization, and use the formal and informal organizational structure to assist in goal achievement.
  • Excellent analytic, problem solving and coaching skills, with the ability to take a thoughtful, data-driven approach to addressing challenges. Can see the big picture and spot patterns across seemingly disparate ideas/actions

Education

BA/BS degree, Human Resources, Business Administration, I/O Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field; Master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
