Bond Vet is building the next generation of veterinary clinics from the ground up — and we're looking for a strategic HR professional who will help develop and execute HR strategies, be an advocate for our employees, and help build programs that drive organizational and people effectiveness.

As the Senior Director HRBP Partnerships & Enablement you will work in tandem with the VP, People to identify, plan, and execute people strategies in line with Bond Vet’s mission, values and goals.

The Senior Director HRBP Partnerships & Enablement role at Bond builds strong partnerships with the business, seeks opportunities to problem solve, and provides strategic support to the regions and clinics.

This is a full time hybrid role with Tuesdays and Thursdays worked out of our office in New York City (Chelsea), and is expected to travel 20% of the time to various regions

What You’ll Do:

HRBP Partnerships:

  • Lead and nurture a team of HRBP professionals by clarifying common goals across regions and delivering results with high-impact
  • Perform IC HRBP responsibilities for certain populations within the organization, such as Finance, Marketing, and other Corporate functions
  • Empower our leaders, collaborate across teams, unlock talent, innovate within the business, and ensure accountability at all levels of the organization
  • Provide advice and guidance on performance management, including leadership development, accelerated development, succession planning, coaching, talent reviews, and terminations
  • Drive informed decision-making by using data and metrics

Enablement:

  • Lead a team of HR Associates in an HR Shared Services model.
  • Ensure the compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness of all HR-related systems and processes. These include onboarding, offboarding, Data management, and cleanliness
  • Plan, monitor, execute, and report out on key strategic and operational projects within the HR organization
  • Ensure training and education on HR practices Is consistent across the function
  • Drive forward and project manage strategic priorities, managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Partner closely with the business to translate priorities into actionable short- and long-term plans to support the development of our vision and goals
  • Manage the deployment of new HR related systems and processes

Employee Relations:

  • Partner with our legal counsel on the identification, escalation, risk mitigation and resolution of employee relations issues
  • Analyzes trends with people implications (e.g., turnover, associate relations trends, functional area concerns), and recommend corrective measures
  • Be the go-to for any employee relations escalations

HR Compliance:

  • Develop a robust and forward-thinking compliance framework
  • Communicate and interpret HR policies and procedures and federal and state laws
  • Monitor regulations governing employment practices, affirmative action, wage and hour, and employee health and safety laws

HR Leadership:

  • Collaborate and develop high-performing partnerships with the broader HRBP team, Recruiting, Legal, Talent, Finance, and other internal key relationships
  • Lead the development and ongoing measurement of HR's Goals
  • Drive informed decision-making by using data and metrics
  • Partner with the broader HR Team on key initiatives in areas such as organizational design, diversity/equity/inclusion, performance & reward, employee relations, culture, engagement, and leadership development
  • Drive organizational change and influence leaders to address complex issues

  • Naturally inclined to use HR reporting & analytics in generating insights and presenting findings back to the business, as well as tracking and disseminating key HR data
  • Comfortable ‘owning’ the detail as well as thinking strategically
  • Able to constructively challenge and influence senior leaders
  • Comfortable in delivering presentations to large groups regularly and comfortable hosting candid discussion groups
  • Confident you can work in a fast-paced, agile, and ever-changing environment
  • An organizer, who can apply robust prioritization skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced role

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Advanced degree and/or certification in HR specialties
  • Minimum of 8 years as an HR generalist with additional experience in at least one other HR function
  • 5+ years managing a team
  • 3+ years of experience in HR operations, administration, project management, or an equivalent field
  • Excellent Excel skills to analyze data and tell numerical stories
  • Executive-level PowerPoint skills
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., applicant tracking and learning management systems, background checks, ticketing platforms.)

Compensation will fall between $190,000 - $200,000 annually based on experience (New York City only), in addition to annual bonus and equity opportunity.
