As the Employee Experience & Development Advisor, you'll lead and participate in the development and execution of comprehensive training programs and HR events, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Your role is instrumental in empowering employees, enhancing their skills, and driving organizational success through effective communication, collaboration, and strategic planning.


A Glimpse into What YOU’RE Responsible for:

HR Programs:

  • Promote and assist in the development of HR programs.
  • Coordinate employee HR programs such as our Summer Work Experience, volunteerism, and hybrid work programs.
  • Leading orientation and onboarding initiatives.
  • Develop and analyze program metrics and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Training and Development (T&D):

  • Develop, source and implement training programs (online, in-person, seminars, mentorship programs etc.) aligned with organizational values and initiatives.
  • Identify training needs through performance analysis and departmental partner feedback.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content accuracy.
  • Coordinate logistics for training sessions and evaluate effectiveness.
  • Provide coaching and support for professional development.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Internal Events and Awareness Days:

  • Plan and coordinate internal events and awareness days.
  • Manage budgets and logistics for events, ensuring high-quality experiences.
  • Develop promotional materials and communications to increase participation.
  • Collect feedback to continuously improve event effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and health/safety guidelines.

Communications:

  • Establish effective communication systems for training sessions.
  • Monitor attendance and engagement, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Develop communication plans for event planning and progress updates.

  • Safety Commitment: Strong commitment to safety regulations, ensuring a positive and respectful workplace.


Education & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources program coordination and development.
  • Certification in adult learning, project management, or training is an asset.
  • Strong project management skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent computer/technical literacy and competency with various business software applications, e.g., spreadsheets, documents, and presentation tools.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and listening skills.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
