The VP, Learning & Development is a proactive and transformative leader who has a passion for learning and development in order to advance the mission of the organization. Education & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Organization Development, Instructional Design, Business Administration, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive and increasing responsibility leadership roles in corporate training, including a working knowledge of training design, adult learning theory, training delivery methods, measurement and evaluation, vendor management
- 5+ years of supervisory leadership experience
- Demonstrated success in building and enhancing ongoing relationships with clients/customers, partners, and vendors.
- Demonstrated success in partnering with organizational leaders in developing training curriculum that meets business performance goals.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Organization Development, Instructional Design, Business Administration, or a related field
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team in the design, development, and delivery of organization-wide synchronous and asynchronous training in production work, training design and delivery support for non-production work, and new employee orientation and compliance training for all employees
- Oversee the process, key performance indicators, and metrics to define and track/monitor training completion and effectiveness
- Oversee budgets and expenditures related to learning and training initiatives,
- Oversee training improvements to ensure all stakeholders are adequately trained to perform their functions effectively
- Lead the identification, development, and deployment of strategies for change management.
- Coordinate with a team responsible for managing training standards, expectations, and measurements to build employee competencies that enable a high-performance workforce. This includes needs assessment, 'make/buy' determination, curriculum development, selection of the 'best practices' delivery modality, and effectiveness assessment.
Support a team of subject matter experts to oversee all curriculum, business processes, desk procedures, and operational delivery materials.
- Organize, prepare, chair and assume responsibility for follow-up actions of the TriWest Education Council (TEC) to provide input and develop relevant education activities (e.g. materials, information, tactics) to enhance overall customer satisfaction and program compliance.
- Collaborate with a dedicated external training team, TriWest leadership, and executives to establish key metrics to identify customer training opportunities for specific stakeholder groups including employees, providers, client agencies (DHA/VA, Market/MTFs/VAMCs), beneficiaries and subcontractors.
- Oversee a dedicated external training team that will drive the organization’s training schedule and resourcing.
- Collaborate with a dedicated external training team and TriWest colleagues to ensure that Quality Assurance Controls adequately reflect knowledge expectations of all employees for all operational processes.
- Partner with a dedicated external training team and the Quality and Process Improvement (QPI) team to develop and deliver training for all process defects and/or improvement opportunities.

- Oversee and serve as a liaison for partner/subcontractor/vendor training programs.
- Direct the use of eLearning technology, to include desktop delivery (synchronous) and computer based/web-based (asynchronous) training.
