(Subject Matter Expert)

I am thrilled to open a contract position for a Learning Technologies SME to join the vibrant freelance team for my client ELB Learning. This remote opportunity is for ELB's Paris (France) based client, and is aimed at professionals with a profound understanding of the latest learning technologies, instructional design, and digital learning trends. Currently, we anticipate this project to span 3 months.

As a Learning Technologies SME, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of online learning by reviewing the clients' existing learning environments (which is disparate, not cohesive, and in some instances, has software and tools that overlaps in function), and develop a detailed plan for improvement as part of a wider HR Transformation.

You will used your expertise to guide and recommend the development of a consolidated, slick, cohesive, intuitive and globally supported learning environment. This environment will need to encompass all of the tools and technologies needed to plan, run and monitor learning for thousands of staff world wide. These may include, but are not limited to LMS, eLearning Development, Audio and Video editing, content creation, AI and solutions focused on evaluation of programs

Job Overview

In this role, the Learning Technologies SME will leverage their wide variety of expertise and knowledge of learning technologies best practices, solutions and software, to help plan and develop a new cutting-edge eLearning environment for ELBs' Paris based client.

Working closely with internal business teams, instructional designers and content and LMS developers, you'll ensure the clients' environment is fit for purpose, easy to use, intuitive, cohesive and comprehensive.

Deliverables

• Detailed Architecture of Learning Ecosystem
• Macro user-journeys for each persona (white collar employees, Operations Blue Collars, Sales representatives, HR L&D, content creators)
• Benchmark the external market & learning technologies to see how the company approaches different learners with their specific needs based on identified personas
• Benchmark recommendations of providers per each category of the tools (for RFPs) which are aligned with macro-journeys of analyzed personas
  
  

Activities

• Co-develop macro user-journeys for each persona to understand the important criteria for future learning ecosystem
• Identifying touchpoints where learners interact with ecosystem, optimizing them to enhance user satisfaction & engagement by tailoring learning experience and content delivery based on these personas
• Analyzing Learning Technologies Market and Ecosystems by conducting thorough research and analysis of tools on the market, evaluating scalability and alignment with the Learning strategy & benchmarking technologies against best practices & usage in Learning Ecosystems of other companies
• Assess learning technologies market to propose tools’ recommendations for future Learning ecosystem elements (LXP, LMS, Learning Impact, Content authoring, Capability Academy)
• Scoping of main necessary functionalities for each tool in the Ecosystem in the preparation of RFPs
  
  

Required Skills

• Instructional Design or Instructional Technology degree (bachelors or masters)
• 8+ years of professional Instructional Design experience
• A broad range of personal experience with eLearning, LMS, editing, design, audio, video, animation, and evaluation / analytical tools
• Exceptional communication skills
• Global experience, and familiarity working with diverser and disparate teams
• Prior experience evaluating learning environments, and guiding strategies for effective change and improvement
• Strong organizational skills
• An adaptable, and trust building character, who works with humility

• Bilingual French / English skills are preferred, but not mandatory
