About The Challenge

The Learning Solutions Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the learning solutions provided not only meet the immediate learning needs of clients but also contribute to their (long-term) business success. This role is about more than just creating learning programmes; it's about driving real change and development within client organisations, leveraging learning as a powerful tool for business improvement and growth.

This role involves envisioning and executing a strategy to develop scalable learning solutions that address genuine client problems through innovative and scalable experiences

This role combines strategic thinking, relationship management and expertise in learning and development to ensure that our clients' learning needs are met

What are some of the things I will be doing?

Pitches And Proposals

  • Consult with senior client stakeholders to uncover and explore their people / CSR challenges
  • Develop bespoke learning journeys that align with client requirements, learner needs and potential budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to pitch and secure projects from both new and existing clients and provide consultancy services to optimise learning solutions.
  • Lead content discussions during client calls to tailor and present our products as precise solutions to client needs.
  • Provide expert insights using knowledge of current trends to position potential product offerings based on client need/feedback

Product Strategy And Development

  • Support the development and execution of a product strategy that positions Upskill as a leader in delivering impactful and technology-driven learning experiences. This involves anticipating future learning trends and aligning them with organisational goals.
  • Collaborate with our tech team to integrate appropriate technologies (LXP platform, interactive tools, etc.) where appropriate to enhance the learning experience and bridge skill gaps effectively.
  • Focus on embedding our values, behaviours and competencies into day to day activities
  • Assist in expanding Upskill’s portfolio of standardised learning products, focusing on scalability and global reach while ensuring that the offerings reflect the organisation's core values and meet high educational standards.

Content Design And Development

  • Create and manage the production of learning content for a large variety of clients, ensuring alignment with client goals and seamless integration with project deliverables.
  • Engage with both internal (e.g. talent team, learning designers, programme managers) and external stakeholders to plan and manage excellent learning experiences to meet the established high standard of education delivery by the department

Reporting & impact measurement

  • Drive impact measurement across all programmes you are involved in, ensuring that we are maximising, showcasing and reporting against impact in line with client goals and UpSkill pedagogy
  • Report on quality assurance checks and ensuring that all of our learning is of an exceptionally high standard
  • Ensure monthly reporting on LSAT and NPS are done timely to showcase the impact our products have on learners and client objectives
  • Drive the setting of KPI’s for the learning team, ensuring all KPI’s are measurable and are reported on quarterly and understood across the team

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor degree or master’s in business, human resources or related field.
  • CIPD certified and / or recognised qualifications / certificates in learning & development (e.g. kirkpatrick)
  • Significant experience in learning design, delivery and impact measurement(+7 years)
  • Strong learning and development background with business partnering and stakeholder management experience, ideally gained within a complex, multi sector business
  • Comfortable with google workspace, particularly with google slides
  • Experience in content creation for blended solutions
  • Subject matter expertise in at least one of our core offerings (inclusion, workforce, and / or experience in creating social impact programmes)
  • Experience in managing (learning) projects from conception through to completion, ideally with certifications in methodologies like Six Sigma or Prince2

Desired Qualifications And Experience

  • Further certifications in adult education, instructional design, or a related field, such as ATD (Association for Talent Development) certification.
  • Proficiency with advanced e-learning platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to enhance the delivery of our online and blended learning programmes.
  • Experience in marketing and selling learning solutions, understanding customer needs, and developing value propositions that resonate with target markets.

  • Adaptability and Resilience - The ability to adjust to and thrive in changing work environments and overcome challenges effectively. This includes staying focused under pressure and quickly recovering from setbacks.
  • Analytical and Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data critically to inform learning strategies, assess programme effectiveness, and adapt learning solutions based on tangible outcomes.
