About the Position:
Position Title: Technical Talent Acquisition Lead
Location: Candidate must be located in Canada. Our office is located in Toronto, ON, Canada, but the role is remote/hybrid/flexible within Canada.
Reports to: SVP, Finance & Operations
As a key member of our Talent Acquisition team, you will be the go-to expert leading technical recruiting for the company. You’ll shape end-to-end hiring activities, partner closely with our hiring teams to source and hire exceptional talent, and play a pivotal role in scaling the company.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead and drive End-to-End hiring for technical roles. You’ll develop a robust recruitment pipeline- including sourcing, screening and interviewing top candidates. You’ll also establish foundational hiring processes to ensure equitable hiring practices for and with our hiring teams
- Source from diverse channels including your own deep professional network, job boards, social media, professional networks, boolean method and employee referrals
- Lead the development of our internal recruitment processes, ensuring our processes are clear, scalable, efficient and high quality to identify the best talent
- Establish and ensure that all recruitment processes comply with legal and regulatory requirements, with a focus on fostering diversity and inclusion principles
- Stay ahead of industry trends and contribute to building our employer brand, making Practice Better an appealing destination for potential employees
- Be a protector and advocate of Practice Better’s culture, ensuring a great experience for candidates that aligns with our values, with a particular focus on building diverse and inclusive teams.
Who you are:
- You have 5-7+ Years of full cycle recruiting experience — You have proven experience hiring and sourcing exceptional, diverse technical talent within a dynamic and fast growing startup environments
- You’ve got scaling Expertise — You’ve excelled in companies that are fast growing, and have a strong track record of developing the processes and systems to hire the best talent efficiently and at scale. You thrive in changing and fast paced environments.
- You’re an expert partner, collaborator and relationship builder — particularly with R&D (Engineering, Product, and Design) teams and candidates with technical expertise. You thrive in partnering with your customers, learning about their needs and partnering together to ensure the right fit.
- You’re skilled in tools used to source, organize and manage talent pipelines – You have expertise using LinkedIn Recruiter and various ATS systems (Lever experience is a plus!), including the ability to configure these platforms for optimal functionality. Additionally, you continuously seek to understand data and insights to inform your talent acquisition strategies
- You have experience hiring within and outside of Canada — Extensive experience in sourcing and hiring technical talent across both the US and Canada is required
- You have a growth mindset— you’re always willing to learn, challenge yourself and find new ways to innovate and problem solve
Within:
- 1 Month – Rapidly become a Practice Better expert, understanding our platform, policies, and current practices. Gain a comprehensive understanding of our user interface, workflow, and policies related to talent acquisition
- 3 Months — Partner with business leaders on multiple end-to-end hiring searches. Leverage (and optimize!) our talent acquisition tools - Lever ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other to develop healthy pipelines for a variety of technical roles
- 6 Months — Become the go-to person for all technical talent acquisition-related activities, serving as a valuable resource for our leaders and hiring teams. Educate hiring managers and the broader company on hiring best practices. Work on employment branding projects that help us share Practice Better’s exciting story to candidates
