Discovery Land Company is seeking a full-time, year-round Training Manager to join the Learning and Development team.
Job Summary:
In this position, you will be part of creating the DLC’s internal training and development programs, working to increase engagement and retention while partnering with multi-cultural properties all over the world.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Partner with the CHRO and Senior Director of Learning & Development to support and execute strategic educational initiatives and processes tailored to meet specific business needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and optimal learning outcomes.
- Partner, collaborate, and build strategic partnerships with HR leaders and Training Managers across DLC project locations to standardize and enhance training programs globally, ensuring alignment in training methods and materials.
- Assist with developing and refining training methodologies for all stakeholders, including Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), to optimize the creation of tailored training courses.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Learning & Development to design and develop engaging training materials that leverage advanced instructional design principles and adult learning theories, encompassing various formats such as instructor-led sessions, computer-based learning, job aids, and assessments.
- Deliver multifaceted learning experiences across a range of platforms, including in-person, virtual, and social mediums, to effectively reach both new hires and existing employees.
- Utilize strong relationship building skills to engage in high-level collaboration with organizational leaders to develop and refine essential documentation such as policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and comprehensive training packages, employing exemplary technical writing skills for clarity and impact.
- Build and maintain robust relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, driving innovative training solutions, fostering open feedback channels, and navigating challenges with creative problem-solving.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and SMEs to define and implement training strategies that effectively close knowledge, skill, and behavior gaps among learners.
- Keep stakeholders informed and engaged with regular updates on current projects and proactive insights into future training needs.
- Champion self-directed learning and continuous professional development, actively seeking out new knowledge and methodologies to propose forward-thinking solutions and enhancements.
- Flexible to travel to project sites approximately 35% of the time, with the possibility of increased travel during peak periods.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed and / or identified by CHRO and Sr. Director of Learning and Development, contributing to the broader success and strategic objectives of the organization.
Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Learning and Development or related fields.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience applying instructional design and adult learning methodologies to web-based training and instructional materials.
- Workday HRIS experience strongly preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, Articulate Suite, and/or other authoring software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines in a multi-national, fast-paced work environment.
- Basic experience with project or program management.
- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including some evenings and occasional weekends. Long hours may be required due to business demands (over 8 hours).
- Possess a valid passport and have flexibility to travel as required to support and advance organizational objectives and training programs.
- Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation
Starting Salary: $120,000.00-125,000.00 per year.
