We help power informed industry conversations. We are a Toronto-based SaaS company. We’re in the business of gathering intelligence about industries and delivering it to the right people within those industries through innovative software interfaces. We’re currently a distributed team of 64 (you’d be lucky Lumerite #65!), scattered across Canada, the UK, and South America.

As our client roster continues to expand, so does our internal team. We’re searching for a Talent & Culture Specialist to help us attract, hire, retain and engage team members who are passionate about delivering the best possible experiences to our clients.


All about the role:

We’re constantly thinking about what makes Lumerate a unique and phenomenal place to work, and how we can continue to make it better. Our Talent & Culture Specialist will collaborate closely with the Recruitment & Culture Coordinator and Chief of Staff to support and optimize programs and processes across every stage of the employee lifecycle.

As a Talent & Culture Specialist at Lumerate, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Play a major role in helping to deliver a world-class candidate and employee experience at a quickly growing company
  • Have daily positive impact on the happiness and well-being of the 64 amazing humans who work here
  • Be deeply immersed in our recruiting and hiring processes through candidate sourcing, candidate communication, interview coordination, and screening
  • Execute our onboarding program, to ensure that all new team members have everything they need to feel excited and empowered in their new role
  • Collect data and feedback to measure recruitment efforts, job satisfaction, role-based competencies and other key metrics
  • Contribute to team programs and initiatives such as employee engagement, performance management, career progression, role-based training, learning and development, customer interaction, diversity, equity and inclusion, and internal innovation
  • Support a thriving hybrid workforce
  • Organize and host team-building events
  • Contribute to the planning and coordination of our all-company meetups (twice a year)
  • Extend the reach of our employer brand via social media, networking and community partnerships

  • You consider yourself to have high emotional intelligence

  • You believe that work should be meaningful, fun, and rewarding
  • You lead with empathy and have the ability to understand what motivates and fulfills others
  • You love meeting new people and making new friends
  • You can effectively convey emotions and ideas via written and verbal communication, and have a few tricks up your sleeve to make communications impactful

  • You’re naturally curious, and you’re eager to further develop your craft and expand your knowledge


What we’d love to see in your work history:

  • Event planning and execution experience
  • Examples of projects or initiatives you’ve led or contributed to that fostered community in the workplace
  • Experience with recruitment coordination: candidate communications, interviewing, scheduling, and resume screening
  • Experience in a similar role (or experience with similar responsibilities)

Bonus points if you also have:

  • Developed and/or implemented Learning and Development programs
  • Hired for technical roles in the past (software engineers, UX designers, etc.)
  • Have knowledge about processes related to international and remote hiring

Location: The successful candidate can choose to be hybrid–working from our office at 1655 Dupont Street in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (everyone works from home on Mondays and Wednesdays) or can choose to work fully remotely.


Salary: $65,000-$70,000 CAD per year


Start Date: Target start date for this role is May 27th, 2024.
