Cameron & Cooper Limited is an innovative provider of specialist care, support and education to some of the most vulnerable young people in the UK, working closely with local authority partners to enable our young people to thrive, achieve independence and live more fulfilling lives.
Our services include The Beech House, The Beech House School, Willow Lodge and Cherry Blossom with plans to open further homes in the Southeast/ home counties. All our Ofsted registered services are currently rated Good by Ofsted.
We have circa 50 employees from office based staff, residential support workers, team leaders, teachers, therapists and service managers/ registered managers. The team is extremely diverse with a broad skillset. Historically we had been using external trainers to come into train the staff team, and leadership team on a variety of topics. We also have a comprehensive induction programme, which is generally delivered by the management team. We are now looking to bring this in house and would be looking for someone to work 3-4 days per week to deliver all our training, create new training programmes and upskill the staff team.
We would also want this person to arrange regular management offsite days with team building activtties, develop a comprehensive learning schedule for all staff and carry out a learning needs analysis. This role will also involve reviewing/ improving the current training, and overseeing the workforce development programme for all staff. As we are regulated service, training is compulsary for staff and we need to ensure we meet the regulations/ standards. Therefore we will need rigourous recording, including learning outcomes and comprehensive plans.
Ideally we would like someone who has some relevant sector experience, whether that is social care, education, residential. Someone who is passionate about training and enjoys delivering high quality training days to staff at all levels of an organisation. Someone who can put together training that will capture the audience with an understanding of how to encourage learning.
You must have had experience of delivering safeguarding training, be flexible in your approach and willing to upskill yourself to deliver training you might not have done previously. If you have experience of working within mental health, that would be an advantage. We would like someone who would work closely with the management team on the overall values and ethos of the company.
We would expect our training to be delivered face to face, but there would be days you could either work from home or our company office based in West Molesey, Surrey. The training days would mostly be in the company office or sometimes in the homes or school.
