Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Type: Full-time role onsite
Compensation: Targeting $60K-$65K Base Salary, and eligible for bonus
Description
Our Client is in search of a talented L&D Specialist to assist the Learning & Development department by facilitating various courses, reporting & tracking, and contributing to the design, development, and implementation of new courses.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitation: Deliver property-wide onboarding, systems, guest services, compliance, and department-specific training (both in-person and virtually).
- Content Development: Use the ADDIE model to design learning activities, guides, job aids, and multimedia handouts.
- Program & Logistics Management: Coordinate department programs (e.g., Tuition Reimbursement, ESL), host external vendors, and maintain training calendars, facilities, and records.
- Evaluation: Monitor training effectiveness via assessments and provide improvement recommendations.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: 2–4 years of training/facilitation or hotel/casino operations experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, HR, or a related field (or equivalent blend of experience and education).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS), training design software, and MS Office (Expert PowerPoint required).
- Core Skills: Strong grasp of adult learning principles, exceptional public speaking and written communication skills, and polished professional appearance.
- Eligibility: Must be 21+ years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of L&D experience.
- Extensive knowledge of luxury service standards.
- Experience with leadership training and multimedia content creation.
- Active L&D certifications or affiliations.
