Vice President of Training & Development
Location: Napa, CA (Onsite)
We're partnering with a highly respected, community-focused financial institution seeking an experienced Vice President of Training & Development to lead enterprise-wide learning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness initiatives. This is a highly visible executive leadership role responsible for creating and executing a strategic learning vision that strengthens employee engagement, develops future leaders, and reinforces a high-performing, people-first culture.

What You'll Do
- Develop and execute the organization's training and leadership development strategy.
- Partner with executive leadership to align learning initiatives with strategic business objectives.
- Design, implement, and continuously enhance enterprise-wide learning and development programs.
- Build scalable leadership development, career progression, and succession planning initiatives.
- Create a "corporate university" style learning environment that supports continuous employee growth.
- Establish key performance metrics to measure program effectiveness, employee engagement, and organizational impact.
- Lead organizational development initiatives that strengthen culture, performance, and employee retention.
- Manage departmental budgets, vendor relationships, and external training partnerships.
- Stay current on industry trends, adult learning methodologies, and best practices.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and leadership excellence throughout the organization.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in training, learning & development, organizational development, or talent management.
- Executive leadership experience, preferably within a financial institution or other highly regulated environment.
- Proven success developing and implementing enterprise-wide learning strategies.
- Experience creating programs from the ground up, including leadership academies or "university-style" training programs.
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and executive presence.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated project management and change management expertise.
- Ability to influence leaders across all levels of the organization and drive organizational change.
Compensation
$174,000 – $194,000 base salary (DOE)
