Position Overview:
The Chicago Bulls are seeking a Manager to join the People & Culture (HR) team, playing a critical role in delivering a high-quality employee experience across the full talent lifecycle. This position will focus on talent acquisition, onboarding, early-career programming, and people analytics, helping to attract, engage and retain top talent across the organization.
As an individual contributor, the Manager will drive full-cycle recruiting efforts for full-time and game-day roles, while building strong talent pipelines and ensuring an efficient, best-in-class candidate experience. Additionally, this role will lead and execute all aspects of the Bulls’ Rookie Program, a season-long internship experience supporting a cohort of 20+ interns.
This role requires a highly organized, relationship-driven professional with strong project management capabilities and a foundation in HR generalist practices, particularly in recruiting operations and onboarding. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates sound judgment, and can effectively manage competing priorities while handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities
This role will serve as a key point of contact for employees and hiring managers, supporting the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive, and engaging experience across both the candidate and employee lifecycle.
Talent Acquisition & Strategy
- Own and manage the end-to-end recruiting process for open roles, ensuring an efficient, high-quality candidate experience
- Track and manage all open roles, maintaining clear visibility into progress, timelines, and hiring activity
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies aligned to hiring needs, including proactive sourcing and pipeline development
- Analyze key recruiting metrics (e.g., time to fill, funnel conversion, process bottlenecks) and provide actionable recommendations
- Partner closely with hiring managers and cross-functional stakeholders to drive timely and effective hiring outcomes
- Serve as the subject matter expert for recruiting tools and processes (background checks, interview platforms, assessments, etc.)
- Share insights and recommendations with People & Culture leadership to enhance talent attraction, hiring effectiveness, and retention
Onboarding & New Hire Experience
- Lead and continuously improve the onboarding experience for full-time and game-day employees, ensuring a consistent and welcoming start
- Develop and manage onboarding tools and resources for managers (calendars, checklists, training materials)
- Identify opportunities to improve onboarding efficiency, consistency, and overall impact
- Gather and analyze new hire feedback to inform enhancements that strengthen engagement and retention
- Analyze and provide quarterly updates to P&C leadership on new hire survey data, exit interview feedback, and other employee listening channels to surface trends, insights, and areas for improvement
Rookie Program
- Own and execute all aspects of the Chicago Bulls Rookie Program (season-long internship experience)
- Lead end-to-end program delivery, including recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, communications, and engagement
- Partner with Learning & Development to deliver programming that builds critical professional and workplace skills
- Coordinate guest speakers and industry exposure opportunities to enhance intern learning and development
- Create and facilitate networking opportunities across the sports industry
- Manage the “Bull By Your Side” mentorship program, including matching, structure, and ongoing support
- Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and enhance overall experience, engagement, and impact

- Better visibility into process efficiency and talent metrics
Qualifications
- We are seeking a highly organized, relationship-driven professional with strong project management capabilities and a proven ability to execute effective processes while delivering a meaningful employee experience
- 4–5 years of full-time experience in Human Resources
- Experience in an HR Generalist or similar broad-based role preferred
- Strong experience in high-volume recruiting and talent acquisition required
- Experience with HR systems and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and comfort using HR technology for reporting and analytics
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize data into clear, actionable insights
- Experience managing reporting, spreadsheets, and web-based tools
- Experience supporting internship or early-career programs is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Sound judgment and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000 annually + annual discretionary bonus. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Full-time remote work is not an option for this role and interested applicants should be currently located in or prepared to move to the Chicagoland area. This role will require a flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
