As a member of the Talent Strategy & Learning team, the Talent Strategy & Learning Consultant will provide expert leadership, coaching, facilitation and guidance across the organization, through learning, talent, succession, and performance development
The Consultant has a broad knowledge base of the healthcare environment and stays informed on relevant sector trends and research to effectively support organizational priorities. They will serve as a thought leader, advising on evidence-based practices that enhance organizational development for leaders and teams.
The Consultant has informal leadership responsibilities for the Talent Strategy & Learning Team (I.e. Specialists, Assistants), providing day-to-day coaching, mentorship, and technical guidance to members of the team.
In collaboration with the Manager, Talent Strategy & Learning, the Consultant leads strategic initiatives, and provides direction for the design, development, delivery, and continuous enhancements of talent and learning programs. They will oversee effective and efficient systems, processes, and procedures to ensure excellence in partner and learner experiences.
What we offer:
- Rate of Pay: $54.93 per hour - $68.67 per hour
- Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

What you bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Organizational Behaviour, Psychology, Human Resources or equivalent as acceptable to the hospital
- Certified Training & Development Professional preferred
- Certificate in Adult Education preferred
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) preferred
- Executive Coaching Certificate preferred
- Minimum 5 years of recent and related work experience
- Highly developed consulting and coaching skills to provide advice and guidance to leaders/executives
- Strong strategic thinking and systems-level problem solving capability
- Ability to translate business objectives and goals into learning or talent strategies
- In-depth knowledge of adult learning principles and organizational development practices
- Strong understanding and demonstration of emotional intelligence, assertiveness and learning agility
- Excellent facilitation skills for strategy sessions, workshops and partner meetings
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Proficient project management skills including multiple and concurrent projects
- Demonstrated proficient problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to research and assimilate a large quantity of diverse information
- Applies creativity to work; advanced ability to learn software quickly
- Ability to be responsive and flexible in a complex, ambiguous and constantly changing environment
- Demonstrated integrity and ability to handle sensitive information professionally
- Proficient organizational and time management skills to effectively coordinate multiple deadline
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC

- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
