You love sharing your Pension knowledge with others and you’re in a great space when you can provide synchronous training to support the ongoing development of APS employees. As you bring your creative and designing best, communicating your understanding of Pension knowledge to the organization truly makes your day. Also, your attention to detail and passion for documentation ensures training material is current and updated.
A typical day for the Learning & Development Advisor
Instructional design and Facilitation:
- Facilitating classroom training sessions to help onboard new hires and to support the continuing development of existing employees
- Facilitating training to support continuing development
- Developing learning solutions that build the foundation of knowledge and enhance staff abilities
- Designing, developing and partnering to create and deliver innovative learning
- Designing activities, exercises and learning solutions to help support learning and development
Material Development:
- Write process documentation
- Update and maintain learning material
- Write and develop training materials including visual aids, activities, employee workbooks and facilitator guides.
- Assist with development of E-Learning based courses.
Consultation
- Consult with business units and managers to assess employee development needs, performance gaps, and business objectives.
- Analyze business needs and determine appropriate learning solutions
- Obtain and analyze user feedback.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in adult education, adult facilitation or instructional design
- Minimum of five years’ experience in learning and development with experience in facilitation
- Knowledge of Pension Plans and procedures for a broad range of APS business units
- Superior communication skills; both written and verbal
- Proficient in the use of Adobe Acrobat and Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Suite
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners
