Earls Kitchen + Bar is looking for a Digital Learning Communications Coordinator to join our People Operations Department at our Head Office in Vancouver, BC. In this role, you will impact the development experience of every one of our partners through cross-functional collaborations, elevating training manuals, and enhancing communications strategies. Bring your innovative spirit and technical skills to enhance our content through impactful copywriting, video editing, and a commitment to making every piece visually appealing.
Role Responsibilities
- Carefully review and proofread content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and typographical errors.
- Transfer and refine rough draft content to ensure clarity and alignment with communication objectives.
- Verify factual accuracy and ensure that all information presented is correct.
- Uphold high editorial standards and contribute to maintaining the organization's brand voice.
- Be adaptable to different writing styles and tones depending on the audience and purpose of the content while maintaining consistency in writing style, language, formatting, tone, and voice across various content pieces.
- Collaborate and work closely with other team members to enhance the quality of content and ensure a unified final product.
- Demonstrate proficiency in various tools and platforms such as Canva, GSuite, Kahoot, and video editing software to manage updates and creations.
- Track training + development results through various platforms such as Kahoot, Google Forms, and Earls U.
- Utilize filming, photography, and editing skills to create visually appealing content.
- Contribute creative ideas to improve communication strategies, training materials, and overall content quality.
- Support in the onboarding and roll-out of programs created for Head Office and Operations.
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines for publication or project completion.
Qualifications
- A diploma in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is an asset.
- At least 1 year of experience in copywriting and office work.
- Strong written and verbal communication with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to generate creative ideas, build cross-functional relationships, and contribute to a collaborative team.
- Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality-focused environment is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; the ability to work independently and stay organized to manage multiple priorities.
- A genuine passion for continuous learning and improvement in the field of content editing and communications.
- Strong proficiency with GSuite (Google Mail, Sheets, Slides, Cal, and Meet).
- Technical proficiency in Canva, Finalcut Pro or iMovie, Bananatag, Kahoot, and other relevant tools is an asset.
- Experience in LMS systems is an asset.
- Proficiency in Spanish, both written and spoken is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in video editing and content creation is an asset.
