Opportunity: Learning & Development Specialist
The L&D Specialist is responsible for assessing the learning needs of the organization, designing and implementing effective training programs, and evaluating their impact on employee performance and organizational goals.
⚙ What will you do?
- Develop and implement onboarding programs for new hires to ensure a smooth transition and integration into SBS
- Conduct assessments to identify training needs and skill gaps within the organization;
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops using a variety of instructional techniques and formats;
- Collaborate with managers to identify training needs and align initiatives with business objectives;
- Develop a training catalogue that aligns with the development of essential skills for job performance;
- Oversee general administrative duties, such as coordinating enrollment, scheduling class times and locations and sending information to all trainees;
- Maintains accurate records and databases related to training activities and using data for continuous improvement and reporting
- Manage and maintain the LMS, ensuring training content is up-to-date and accessible;
- Measure the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and assessments
🤙 What you'll need to succeed?
- Ability to assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and performance data to identify skill gaps and training priorities.
- Experience using LMS platforms (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors) for course management and tracking learning progress.
- Ability to analyze and interpret training data to report on learning outcomes, completion rates, and ROI of training initiatives.
- Strong public speaking and facilitation skills to engage learners effectively in both in-person and virtual environments.
- Ability to build rapport, engage with participants, and encourage an inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Active listening to understand learner needs and solicit feedback for continuous improvement of training programs.
- Ability to manage time effectively, ensuring that training projects are delivered on schedule and within scope.
- Experience working with HR, management, and department heads to align training with business objectives.
- Identifying areas of improvement in training programs and implementing changes based on feedback and analysis.
- Knowledge of broader talent development and career pathing to create training that supports employee growth and retention.
- Experience working with HR, department leaders, and employees to ensure the training aligns with organizational needs.
