About the Role
We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Instructional Designer to join our Content Development team. In this role, you’ll transform complex federal housing topics into engaging, accessible learning experiences that truly resonate with diverse audiences.

What You’ll Do
As an Instructional Designer, you’ll play a key role in developing high-quality training content across multiple formats:

Partner with internal and external subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop entry-level courses on federal housing topics

Research industry trends and identify gaps to keep content relevant and impactful

Write clear, compelling training content that captures and retains learner attention

Design engaging learning materials, including:

E-learning courses and webinars
-
Instructor-led training (ILT) materials
-
Course outlines, facilitator guides, and participant guides
-
Storyboards, graphics, and presentations
-
Create and edit instructional videos (scriptwriting, recording, and editing)

Update and enhance existing curricula, manuals, and training tools

Ensure all content complies with copyright, data protection, and accessibility standards (Section 508 knowledge is a plus)

Support LMS administration (user management, uploads, assessments, etc.)

Collaborate with teammates to meet project timelines and deliverables

Contribute to documentation, design, and marketing-related tasks as needed
What You Bring
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or a related field
OR a relevant certification (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Certified Professional)

Strong writing and communication skills, including technical writing

Ability to organize complex information into clear, effective learning experiences

Understanding of instructional design principles, curriculum development, and training evaluation methods

Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Strong prioritization and adaptability skills

Ability to collaborate effectively in both remote and in-office environments

Reliable high-speed internet for remote work
Preferred Qualifications

Experience developing e-learning courses (Articulate Storyline is a plus)

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign)

Video creation/editing experience (Camtasia or Adobe Premiere)

Experience creating storyboards, scripts, and visual learning assets
