We have an exciting opportunity within our Malton Urgent treatment Centre here at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for a dynamic forward-thinking person to join our busy Administration Team as a Receptionist.
About The Role…
You will be required to provide a reliable and effective administrative and clerical support service to internal and external users and will communicate daily with colleagues of different professions, clinical and non-clinical.
About You…
The role is diverse, so you will need to be highly motivated, well organised, patient focused individual, able to work as part of a team but also use your own initiative.
You will have excellent communication skills and be effective in working closely with clinical and non-clinical staff.
The successful candidate will also have good organisational skills, the ability to work on their own initiative and prioritise their own workload.
Duties Will Include
- Working on a very busy reception desk.
- Monitoring and maintaining electronic worklists and ensuring that items are actioned in a timely manner, taking remedial action where necessary.
- Always maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Answering patient questions/queries both verbally and face to face.
- Placing all new patient appointments within agreed timescales and in accordance with consultants' requests
- Making follow-up appointments adhering to booking rules
- Completing worklists - ensuring all requests by consultants are adhered too.
- Checking patients in and out of clinic
