Description
PCSI is looking for a Director of Learning & Development. This
individual contributor role will lead the design and strategic implementation of modern eLearning, instructor‑led, and blended learning experiences that align with organizational priorities.
As the Director of Learning & Development, you’ll own the ongoing creation and rollout of the PCSI Academy, ensuring organization-wide adoption and scalability of our Emerging Leaders, Leadership Development, and Career Development programs. You’ll leverage Generative AI to continuously improve the learning experience, as well as collaborate with executive leaders to establish metrics to measure impact as programs evolve.
We’re looking for a learning architect to bring expertise in instructional design and innovative learning tools to this senior‑level individual contributor role. This is a high-impact opportunity to build and evolve enterprise learning programs that directly support leadership readiness, career growth, and organizational capability across a growing, mission-driven organization.
How You'll Work
- Must be located in the Austin, TX metro area.
- Hybrid schedule, working on-site at least 3 days per week.

What You’ll Do as Director of Learning & Development:
Learning Strategy & Needs Analysis
- Conduct enterprise-wide and function-specific learning needs analyses in collaboration with business leaders and stakeholders to identify skill gaps and development priorities.
- Translate organizational goals into scalable, measurable learning strategies and curricula that support workforce capability and growth.
- Serve as a trusted learning advisor to leaders, ensuring alignment between training initiatives and business outcomes.
Instructional Design & Content Development
- Design and develop high-quality eLearning, instructor-led training (ILT), and blended learning programs using adult learning and instructional design best practices.
- Build and maintain digitized, modular curriculum that is accessible, engaging, and adaptable across multiple platforms.
- Apply Generative AI tools and prompt engineering to accelerate content creation, improve instructional design quality, and enhance learner engagement while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
PCSI Academy Development
- Design, launch, and continuously evolve the PCSI Academy, including:
- Emerging Leaders programs
- Leadership Development curricula
- Career Development and growth pathways
- Create structured learning journeys that support employee progression, internal mobility, and leadership readiness.
- Ensure academy offerings are scalable and relevant for a diverse workforce across locations and roles.
Content Management & Learning Technology
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of learning content, including creation, curation, version control, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
- Ensure learning content is effectively distributed, accessible, and adopted across learning platforms and systems.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support LMS strategy, learning content organization, and user experience.
Measurement, Optimization & Adoption
- Establish success metrics to evaluate training effectiveness, learner engagement, and business impact.
- Analyze learning data and feedback to continuously improve content quality, delivery methods, and adoption.
- Drive a culture of continuous learning through thoughtful communication, stakeholder engagement, and learner-centered design.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Significant experience in instructional design and hands-on content development across eLearning, ILT, and blended modalities.
- Demonstrated experience building leadership development, career development, or enterprise learning programs.
- Strong expertise in learning needs analysis, curriculum architecture, and adult learning principles.
- Experience leveraging Generative AI tools to support instructional design, content creation, and learning optimization.
- Ability to operate independently in an individual contributor role with high ownership and accountability.
- Strong stakeholder partnership skills and the ability to translate business needs into practical learning solutions.
