About the Role:
People grow. Companies grow. At Finera, we believe the two are inseparable. As our Learning & Development Specialist, you will architect and bring to life the learning ecosystem that powers our people's growth from the moment a new hire joins, through every stage of their career with us.
This is a builder's role. You will take ownership of our onboarding experience, design structured career paths, launch the Finera Academy, and manage our full training operations including government-funded ANAD programs. You'll work cross-functionally with managers, department heads, and the CHRO to embed a genuine culture of continuous learning at every level of the organization.
What You'll Own:
Onboarding Experience
- Own, design and continuously improve the end-to-end new hire onboarding program from pre-boarding through to the 90-day milestone ensuring every joiner feels welcomed, equipped, and productive from Day one.
- Design role-specific onboarding tracks in collaboration with department heads, integrating technical, cultural, and operational elements.
- Track and report on onboarding effectiveness using completion rates, time-to-productivity metrics, and new hire feedback.
Career Pathing & Development Frameworks
- Build and maintain career path frameworks across Finera's key job families defining clear progression criteria, competency expectations, and development milestones at each level.
- Partner with the C&B Specialist to ensure career paths align to the company's Job Architecture and compensation structure.
- Champion internal mobility by helping employees and managers identify growth opportunities within the organization.
Finera Academy
- Design, launch, and continuously develop the Finera Academy internal learning platform and curriculum.
- Curate and build a blended learning library covering technical skills, leadership, soft skills, and company-specific knowledge.
- Manage LMS/learning platform content, ensuring materials are accessible, current, and engaging.
- Identify and onboard external content providers and subject matter experts to enrich the Academy's offering.
- Measure learning outcomes and engagement, iterating the program based on data and feedback.
Training Operations & Specialized Development
- Manage the full training request, approval, and coordination process for specialized and external training programs across the organization.
- Research and evaluate training providers, conferences, and certifications relevant to employee and business needs.
- Administer and maximize participation in ANAD government-funded training programs, staying current on eligibility criteria, subsidies, and available courses.
- Maintain accurate employee training records in HiBob, generating reports on training activity, spend, and outcomes for the CHRO and leadership team.
Policy & Compliance
- Own and maintain the Training & Development Policy, ensuring it reflects current practice and is communicated clearly to all employees.
- Coordinate mandatory training programs ensuring 100% completion tracking.
- Manage the L&D budget, tracking spends against plan and maximizing ROI through ANAD and other funding sources.
Culture & Engagement
- Champion a culture of continuous learning through internal communications, manager enablement, and visible program branding.
- Organize and facilitate internal learning events, lunch-and-learns, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
What You Bring:
- At least5 years of dedicated L&D experience, with hands-on ownership of training programs, onboarding, or career development initiatives.
- Experience designing career path or competency frameworks is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency working in HiBob (or a comparable HRIS) and familiarity with LMS platforms (implementation experience is an advantage).
- High attention to detail and a data-driven approach to measuring and improving learning impact.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Creative and structured in equal measure: can design an engaging learning experience and build the process to run it efficiently.
- Familiarity with ANAD programs and the Cyprus training funding landscape is a significant advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Education, or a related field.
