LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
MULTI-SITE HOSPITALITY. VALUES-LED BRAND. CULTURE & PROGRESSION FOCUS. REAL IMPACT.
What’s in it for you?
- Salary up to £55k
- 36 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
- 50% discount on food & drink
- Travel and parking expenses covered
- The opportunity to shape learning and leadership across a growing, purpose-led hospitality group
Who are they?
A well-loved, values-driven café group with a strong sense of community and personality. They’re known for doing things properly - thoughtful food, great coffee, warm hospitality - and for building a culture where people genuinely feel supported.
They don’t want tick-box training. They want learning that feels real. Practical. Rooted in day-to-day hospitality life.
Think:
- Community-led neighbourhood venues
- Strong internal progression stories
- Leaders who care about people and performance
- A brand with heart - and high standards
- A business that lives its values, not just prints them
Now they’re investing properly in people development - and they need someone to own it.
What you’ll get up to:
This role exists to build a culture of learning and growth across the entire business.
In your first 12–18 months, you will:
- Redesign the onboarding journey and launch engaging digital learning campaigns that drive 90%+ engagement
- Lead and evolve the internal progression programme, strengthening leadership readiness across the estate
- Build a simple but effective L&D impact dashboard linking learning to retention, progression and performance
- Create and deliver practical development initiatives - including a Kitchen Academy and hospitality workshops - while overseeing compliance and mandatory training
- You’ll work closely with senior leaders, operations and site teams - becoming the driving force behind development across the business.
You’ll thrive if you are:
- An experienced hospitality L&D professional who can design engaging face-to-face and digital learning
- Commercially aware and confident linking training to measurable performance outcomes
- A strong facilitator and coach who can influence from team member to senior leader
- Curious, analytical and tech-savvy - comfortable using LMS platforms and digital tools to improve learning
- Passionate about culture and progression, creating development that feels authentic, not corporate
The type of person they want:
This isn’t a compliance-only training role.
It’s for someone who believes learning should unlock potential, build confidence and strengthen culture - while still delivering measurable business impact.
If you love hospitality, progression stories and building something meaningful from the inside out - this could be your move.
