Transformative Teaching and Learning (TTL) is an academic support unit that promotes effective and engaging teaching and learning through instructional excellence and the integration of classroom technology and media. TTL serves all UNB faculty and instructors, with physical staffing presence on both campuses.

YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Director, Transformative Teaching & Learning, the Technology-enhanced Learning Manager facilitates resourcing and effective use of IT hardware to enhance learning experiences, and provides hands-on training, guidance, and service to support the use of hardware as a mechanism of education.
- Develop and implement a long-term strategy for technology-enhanced learning innovation aligned with UNB's strategic goals.
- Establish a forward-looking vision for technology-enabled classrooms and learning environments that respond to evolving faculty and student needs.
- Monitor emerging trends in pedagogy, learning technologies, and instructional infrastructure to inform institutional direction.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives within Transformative Teaching and Learning and contribute to the broader Learning Futures vision.
- Engage senior leadership to advance departmental strategy and align priorities with organizational goals.
- Build strong partnerships with faculties across campuses to enhance teaching, research, and student engagement through innovative technologies.
- Advise and collaborate with the ITS AV team on classroom technology planning, upgrades, and emerging pedagogical needs.
- Direct and support innovation projects that leverage multimedia, AV infrastructure, livestreaming, and other instructional technologies.
- Provide production and media expertise in support of academic, leadership, marketing, recruitment, and institutional initiatives.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies that enhance the faculty and student experience.
- Oversee resource planning, including human resources, equipment, professional development, and special project funding for technology-enhanced learning initiatives.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team through coaching, performance management, accountability, and professional growth opportunities.
- Manage multiple concurrent technical and multimedia projects, including high-volume and quick-turnaround initiatives.
- Review and streamline service delivery models across media labs, equipment pools, and instructional spaces to improve effectiveness and cost efficiency.
- Establish policies, procedures, and service standards to ensure consistent, equitable support across campuses, including Saint John.
- Provide leadership on cross-functional committees related to technology, branding, online learning, and emerging media.
- Collaborate with faculties, Deans, and instructors to align technological and instructional strategies with institutional objectives.
- Coordinate multi-campus service delivery and strengthen collaborative relationships across all UNB sites to support online and distance programming.
- Maintain strong financial oversight, including budgets, tracking systems, reporting frameworks, and accountability structures.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as computer science, education (with a technological focus), media arts, and culture.
- 2-5 years experience leading a team.
- 8+ years working with multimedia equipment and/or technologies in an educational context.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Strengths
- Experience at researching, recommending, and implementing new technologies is considered an asset.
- Experience managing in a complex technology focused environment
- Ability to work within a post-secondary institution, with an understanding of the challenges of this environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proven ability to streamline operations to save money, gain efficiencies, improve effectiveness, and increase client satisfaction.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, objectives, and priorities.
