Position Summary:
We're looking for a creative, thoughtful Learning & Development Partner to work within the People Elevation Team on turning ideas and concepts into meaningful learning experiences. This role blends instructional design, content development, and original thinking. The L&D consultant will design training programs through engaging live, asynchronous, and hybrid experiences. This role will influence learning strategies, help shape the ways collaborators learn and develop, experiment with new ideas, and build programs that support both individual development and organizational priorities.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Partner with all members of the People Elevation team and other internal stakeholders to identify organizational needs, and translate ideas, and concepts into engaging learning programs and initiatives.
- Determine and design the most effective delivery modalities and learning formats—live workshops, asynchronous content, blended programs, microlearning, job aids, and visual tools—to meet the participants' and the organizational needs
- Create learning content that is practical, engaging, and aligned with adult learning principles.
- Use the LMS to build, manage, and improve learning experiences (uploading content, structuring courses, tracking participation, etc.).
- Translate learning data (engagement, completion, feedback) into concrete recommendations that support organizational goals.
- Continuously look for creative ways to improve learning strategies, engagement, accessibility, and impact of learning, experimenting with new approaches, and iterating on existing programs.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent certification) required, master's degree preferred.
- Strong conceptual and design thinking skills, with the ability to turn loosely defined ideas into structured and practical learning experiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder partnership skills.
Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Proficiency with instructional design and content development tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Canva, Miro, or similar tools).
- Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS), including course setup, content uploads, learner tracking, and basic reporting.
- Hands-on experience designing learning programs for adult learners.
Budgeted Hiring Range
$83,000—$89,000 USD
All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will cover travel, lodging, and other accommodations.
