About The Role
The Learning and Development Partner plays a key role in building capability, leadership, and performance across the City of Melbourne through the design and delivery of innovative, engaging, and inclusive learning solutions.
Reporting to the Team Leader, Learning and Development, this role partners with business areas and Culture, Capability and Workforce Strategy team to identify learning needs, develop targeted programs, and embed a culture of continuous learning, inclusion, and wellbeing.

A Little More About The Role
- Develop programs that enhance leaders’ and employees’ understanding of health, safety, and wellbeing responsibilitiess
- Build capability among leaders and employees to understand and use Artificial Intelligence effectively and ethically in their work
- Evaluate learning effectiveness using data, feedback, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Ensure all mandatory learning programs are current, accessible, and aligned with organisational values and compliance obligations

What Your Experience Might Look Like
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Organisational Psychology, or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering learning and capability programs in a complex organisation
- Proven ability to assess learning needs and translate these into practical, engaging learning solutions
- Demonstrated understanding of leadership, behavioural, and technical capability frameworks
- Ability to use data and feedback to evaluate program effectiveness and inform improvements
