We’re looking for a senior Technical Learning & Development Manager to design and deliver deep, specialist learning that builds capability across the organisation. This is an end-to-end role: from identifying technical skill gaps to designing content, coordinating delivery, and measuring impact — ensuring teams have the knowledge they need to operate at the highest level in a complex financial environment.
You’ll work closely with business leaders and subject matter experts to embed a culture of continuous learning — practical, rigorous, and outcomes-focused.
What you’ll do
- Conduct detailed technical training needs analyses across business functions and investment disciplines
- Design and deliver technical programmes covering financial products, processes, regulations, and systems
- Develop learning materials, case studies, and simulations that reflect real-world trading, deal-making, and risk scenarios
- Partner with external vendors or specialists to supplement internal expertise and ensure high-quality delivery
- Evaluate learning effectiveness and implement improvements using the latest learning technologies
What you bring
- 10+ years’ experience in Technical Learning & Development within financial services, ideally investment banking or asset management
- Internal and/or external consultancy/vendor experience equally relevant
- Deep understanding of banking products, operations, regulatory environment, and investment processes
- Bachelor’s degree required (MBA preferred)
- Strong credibility with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into effective, engaging learning
