About the Role
The Manager of Education Programs leads Two Ten’s efforts to expand economic mobility in the footwear industry through access to formal educational and professional development opportunities that can lead to career advancement. This role oversees two key initiatives: the Higher Education Scholarship Program, providing tuition assistance for postsecondary and vocational certification education, and the Upskilling and Professional Development Grant Program, currently supporting women seeking to pursue training to advance their careers, with the goal of expanding to all employees in the footwear industry.
Reporting to the Director of Grant Programs, the Program Manager ensures effective, data-informed program operations and a customer-focused applicant experience. The role requires strong project management skills, comfort with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Blackbaud, and the ability to collaborate across internal teams and with external vendors. The Manager partners closely with Development and Marketing to increase awareness, application submissions, and uses data insights to strengthen program reach and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the Higher Education Scholarship Program and the Upskilling and Professional Development Grant Program, including eligibility guidelines, application processes, selection criteria, award distribution, data management and integrity, and ongoing participant support.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Education Grant Programs portfolio, building relationships with educational provider, grantees, and internal Two Ten teams.
- Prepare materials and data summaries for internal and external audiences, including board meetings, funder reports, and audits in collaboration with the Director of Grant Programs, ensuring data integrity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with educational and industry partners (e.g., ISTS, EdX, Arsutoria, Pensole, FIT), identifying opportunities for deeper collaboration and long-term impact.
- Ensure data integrity when collecting, analyzing, and reporting on quantitative and qualitative data to assess program performance, outcomes, and impact, sharing insights internally to inform future strategy and improve efficiency, equity, and reach.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Development teams to create and refine outreach materials, program collateral, and partner communications that increase awareness and application submissions, including recommending program participants to be highlighted in board meetings, fundraisers, and other Foundation events.
- Coordinate across departments, including Finance, Development, and Marketing, to ensure timely disbursement of funds, accurate reporting, customer service, and consistent implementation of policies and procedures.
- Maintain key program materials, including application guidelines, award letters, contracts, and program updates, ensuring transparency and alignment with Two Ten’s mission and values.
- Gather and incorporate feedback from grantees, applicants, and partners to continuously improve the program experience and strengthen partnerships.
- Represent the Foundation and its values at conferences, trade shows, and industry events, staying informed about sector trends and bringing innovative, evidence-based practices into program design and implementation.
- Conduct regular reviews of program processes and systems to enhance efficiency, alignment to Two Ten’s mission and values, including measurable impact towards supporting grantees of Relief and Education towards economic mobility.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and cross-functional initiatives as an engaged member of the Two Ten team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or several years of experience in workforce, economic, or community development, public administration, philanthropy, human resources, college access/success with a focus on career services or a related field preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in philanthropy, non-profit program management, or human resources.
- Demonstrated success in project management coordinating programs, managing timelines, and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong relationship management and customer service orientation, with experience supporting college students, employees, or program participants toward educational and/or college completion and/or career/professional goals.
- Skilled in Excel and summarizing program data and preparing clear, actionable reports or presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and continuous improvement in learning and development initiatives.
Working Conditions
- This is a remote role with a flexible work environment. The employee must maintain a home office with reliable internet connectivity.
- Travel to occasional in-person meetings and industry events is required.
- The role may involve extended screen time and participation in video calls across multiple time zones.
- Home location must be between Washington, DC to Maine in the United States.
