Our client a customer focused financial services organisation has an exciting new opportunity for a Learning & Development Lead. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will build a learning function from the ground up, designing and embedding a future-focused capability framework that blends innovation with regulatory excellence.
Duties will include:
• Design and implement a Society-wide learning and capability strategy aligned to business goals
• Define future skills and capabilities including digital literacy and leadership agility
• Ensure regulatory and compliance training excellence including robust MI and audit readiness
• Optimise the LMS platform to drive engagement and insight through data and analytics
• Curate and create inspiring blended learning content and programmes
• Partner with leaders to identify and close critical capability gaps
The successful candidate will possess:
• Demonstrable experience shaping and delivering L&D or capability strategies within the financial services sector.
• Strong working knowledge of regulatory training requirements (SMCR, Conduct Rules, Consumer Duty, Financial Crime, Data Protection)
• Expertise in digital, blended and innovative learning methods including AI and learning platforms
• Ability to work strategically while rolling up sleeves to deliver hands-on learning solutions
• Confident stakeholder management and relationship-building skills at all levels
• Professional / industry L&D qualifications (or equivalent experience) are required.
