Job Description
- Lead the design and implementation of the EMEA Learning & Development strategy.
- Build management capability and foster a high-performance culture.
- Oversee governance, operations, budget and L&D team leadership across EMEA.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with organisational goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify training needs and opportunities for employee growth.
- Design and implement innovative learning programmes to enhance employee skills and competencies.
- Manage and oversee the L&D budget to ensure effective resource allocation.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives to ensure desired outcomes.
- Lead and mentor the L&D team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in learning and development.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in all training programmes.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of L&D should have:
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing learning and development strategies.
- Experience in the financial services, professional services or regulated sectors.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- A track record of delivering measurable results through effective training initiatives.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Expert in learning and organisational development; understanding of adult learning principles and psychology.
- Strategic thinking, analytical ability, strong stakeholder management, consultative approach, project management, and facilitation.
Strong academic credentials, ideally supplemented by HR or psychology-related qualifications
