As Talent Lead, you will be a strategic individual contributor within the Talent & Organisational Development team, responsible for designing and implementing talent and performance processes, career pathways and skills frameworks that underpin Newton's people strategy and growth. You will lead initiatives that ensure our people experience exceptional development opportunities and our business has the talent it needs to thrive. You will also collaborate closely with senior leaders, People Business Partners and learning colleagues to embed a high-performance culture and support international expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement performance management, succession planning and talent review processes to support a high-performance culture.
- Develop career progression pathways and skills frameworks aligned to Newton's values and growth strategy.
- Lead the integration and use of talent systems and data to inform strategic people decisions.
- Partner with business stakeholders to calibrate performance driving consistency across the business and identify high-potential talent for development and succession.
- Benchmark and introduce innovative talent management practices to keep Newton's people development cutting-edge.
- Collaborate with the Learning team, Talent Acquisition, and People Business Partners and Scheduling to ensure an integrated people strategy across the employee lifecycle.
- Support international expansion by adapting and scaling talent processes for new regions or acquisitions.
Requirements
We are looking for a strategic thinker with deep expertise in talent management and performance processes, who can influence senior stakeholders and deliver impactful frameworks that shape careers and drive business success. This role will be based at either our Oxfordshire or London office with a flexible hybrid approach.
Essential Skills And Experiences We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in talent management, organisational development or a related field, including designing performance and development processes.
- Strong understanding of career frameworks and competency modelling.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior leadership level.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data for decision-making.
- Familiarity with talent management systems and HR technology platforms.
- Experience in a professional services or high-performance environment.
- Exposure to international talent strategy or scaling talent processes globally (desirable).
- Experience within a professional services environment (desirable)

We offer a highly competitive salary (£80,000 - £90,000) and our generous benefits package includes Life Assurance, Income Protection, pension contributions and 29 days holiday (not including bank holidays). We also operate profit share and equity schemes so that our people share in the success of the business. The profit share bonus is based on company performance and typically paid out in March and September.
