Key Accountabilities/Outcomes
- Support the five strategic areas: attract and retain talent, motivate and engage associates, build an associate brand, create a value-based culture, and develop associate capabilities.
- Develop cost effective training options to meet specific business needs and create a high-performance workforce.
- Ensure the quality of training through effective needs assessments, course design, qualified instructors, evaluation, training resource materials and learning reinforcement strategies.
- Develop and enhance new and existing training programs which consistently meet the goals and needs of the division.
- Formulate standardized training and development policies, procedures and improvement plans based on identified organizational needs, changes in culture.
- Design succession planning, career planning processes that reflect needs in alignment with corporate direction.
- Manage the talent retention plans for identified individuals.
- Develop "Process Management" tools including training to enhance organizational capabilities to work in a process-based organization.
- Manage all learning and development responsibilities.
- Implement and maintain learning and development plans that directly reflect the overall company strategic plans.
- Participate in corporate training council to promote collaboration on initiatives common to both RPC global initiatives.
- Make recommendations on organizational design.
- Expand and manage the collection and distribution of resources such as a self-directed learning centre, videos and other educational opportunities
- Manage and control the Performance Development Program.
- Ensure maximum benefit from the incentives available from the FoodBev Seta and SARS.
- Ensure adherence to applicable legislation (e.g., Skills Development Act. Employment Equity Act, B-BBEE, etc.)
- Co-chair the EE and SD Committee in conjunction with the Employment Equity Manager.
- Participate in general day-to-day HR matters as and when required.
- Support HR Projects and BEE initiatives
Qualification/Skills/Experience
- Degree in HRD or equivalent, B. Tech in a technical field will be advantageous
- Certified Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in training & development, preferably in the FMCG, Manufacturing environment
- Proficient in LEAN methodologies and TPM systems
- Solid grasp of manufacturing processes and systems
- A proven track record in working with SETA and submission of WSP/ATR’s
