As a Learning & Development Manager, you will be instrumental in designing, delivering, and evaluating impactful learning solutions that drive individual and organizational performance.
WHAT WILL BE YOUR MISSION?
In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive L&D strategies aligned with Cartier’s business objectives. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the skills and knowledge of our workforce, ensuring they are equipped to meet current and future challenges.
With a ‘Retail First’ focus, and as a Business Partner to our Executive Committee and our Boutique Management, you will be driving sales productivity, client service excellence, and execute regional and global learning curriculums across all product categories including High End and Leadership.
This role will require you to spend up to 60% of your time in Boutique for observation, coaching and learning facilitation.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Delivery and Performance Measurement
- Plan, schedule and deliver L&D programmes across retail and corporate populations in Türkiye.
- Deliver engaging and interactive learning and transformation programs, providing training and feedback and on a variety of topics, including: Product offering, Storytelling & Client Engagement, HE Events and local Retail animations, as well as sessions on clienteling at large and soft skills development.
- Localise and adapt regional learning materials to specific market needs, ensuring cultural and language relevance. Utilise a variety of learning methodologies, including classroom instruction, role-plays, digital learning and on-the-job coaching and feedback.
- Manage local learning calendar and runway in collaboration with the regional L&D team, Commercial, Retail and HR Leaders.
- Track training participation, completion and business impact for KPIs including Learning Engagement & completion, Mystery Shopping results and commercial KPIs such as Sales, Average Basket, Conversion, Cross- and Up-selling etc.
- Provide reports to the Regional L&D team on progress, challenges and recommendations.
- Evaluate learning effectively and continuously improve methods.
Coaching & Capability Building
- Build skills, confidence and behaviours that directly support business goals whilst creating a culture of continuous growth.
- Provide one-to-one and group coaching to strengthen skills, capabilities, behaviours and leadership effectiveness.
- Identify capability gaps through in-boutique observations, coaching and feedback “in-the-flow” of work and address them through targeted and focused learning solutions.
- Embed a culture of feedback, reflection and ongoing learning across all levels.
- Link capability building to measurable outcomes such as improved commercial performance, productivity and client experience.
- Support with the completion of Individual Development Plans and ensure all employees have an active development plan in place.
Budget & Operations Management
- Monitor the country learning budget in collaboration with Regional L&D and HR Leaders, including venues, travel and vendor costs.
- Manage the end-to-end invoicing and vendor management process.
- Track and report learning expenses to ensure budget compliance.
- Oversee logistics and coordination of all learning activities.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Work closely with the Commercial teams, Boutique Management, and HR Business Partners to align learning priorities with business needs.
- Ensure alignment with regional L&D frameworks and strategy and contribute to feedback on local learning needs.
- Build strong relationships and drive functional leaders to support capability and skills development across all roles.
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
- You are passionate about Learning & Development and being a Business Partner, with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a learning or development role with strong operational learning delivery, LMS and LXP Management, Reporting and Learning Impact Analysis. Ideally, you’ve had prior exposure to Luxury Retail or Hospitality.
- You hold a degree in in Adult Learning, HR, Business, or related field.
- You master learning facilitation and formal / informal learning delivery; thanks to your coaching skills and your ability to conduct 1:1 coaching or group coaching sessions, you excel in capability building.
- You are driven by performance, fueled by a strong commercial acumen.
- You have experience in managing training budgets and scheduling at market/country level.
- You are curious and highly collaborative; in that, you have a strong record of cross-functional relationships that build trust and credibility with a diverse team of internal business partners.
- You are organized, self-driven and resourceful. You enjoy working on multiple priorities and projects, managing your time effectively.
- You are fluent preferably in multiple languages with spoken and written English & Turkish mandatory (additional language skills are a plus).
