The Opportunity: The Director of Training & Development is responsible for overseeing the entire portfolio of training and development needs and opportunities within CSFS. Following clear cultural values of the Carrier and Sekani Nations, this position holds a responsibility that influences organizational culture and policy as an Indigenous organization. The incumbent will work closely with the executive Director on implementing goals and objectives of the department and CSFS at large.
- Works cross departmentally within organizations with leadership to develop training and educational development programs that are in alignment with CFS goals and strategic vision.
- Assesses and determines viability, quality, and value of training programs both in-house and externally through values-add, budget, risk, time-investment, and relevancy
- Possess strong acumen in external relationship development; have strong knowledge and understanding of community resources to maximize accessibility
- Promotes cultural competence, psychological safety, inclusivity through the training lens, and in practice

What You Will Bring To The Role
- Master’s degree in Education preferred, or a complementary combination of related skills and experience are considered
- Three years’ experience in an adult learning and development role

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $66.0680 to $86.8905 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
