About the role:
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Leadership & Development Advisor is responsible for working with all departments to provide support and guidance in our ongoing pursuit of continuous improvement of our leaders. The successful candidate will drive leadership initiatives, development, mentorship, and support to our workforce.
To be successful, we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Someone who has the ability to operate with a very high level of integrity and confidentiality and is able to prioritize workload in a fast paced environment.

In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Conduct leadership training, communication, facilitation, planning, and follow up for various internal and external programs
- Conduct needs assessments to identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
- Create and maintain pro-active, effective, and trusting relationships with site leaders and employees to provide advice, guidance, and counsel on development matters
- Administer annual succession planning, talent management and performance management programs at site
- Work with stakeholders to design practical ways to develop leadership competencies that build personal effectiveness and accelerate career development
- Deliver training, curricula, courses and content for activities such as communication skills, leadership and team effectiveness workshops
- Facilitate and support organizational leadership development programs
- Generate regular and ad hoc reports on specific leadership metrics
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Adult Education or equivalent
- A minimum of five years of Human Resources or Learning and Development experience with a focus on employee and leadership development
- Thorough understanding of talent development trends and practices and a good understanding of the mining, or a similar, industry
- Demonstrated ability in effectively supporting leadership teams in areas of change management, team effectiveness, conflict resolution, facilitation and problem solving
- Experience facilitating workshops and meetings at various levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and follow up on key deliverables
- Strong team player and ability to work independently
- Experience in change management, workflow planning for self, others, and groups
- Strong digital literacy and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite®
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
