This is a full-time (1 FTE) position offered on a permanent basis.
Lancaster University Library is seeking to appoint to the role of Head of Learning Development.
You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of eleven learning developers who support students at all levels across the University with writing development and academic skills for effective study. This includes provision for English for Academic Purposes, and mathematics and statistics.
As a member of the Library Management Team you will contribute to leadership and development of the Library and Learning Development in support of the Library’s vision, The Library Towards 2025, and the University’s strategic objectives in relation to teaching, research and engagement.
You should have a postgraduate qualification and/or relevant teaching experience in Higher Education.
We are looking for an experienced individual who is passionate about developing students to reach their academic potential and takes an inclusive and creative approach to service provision. An ability to build relationships and develop partnerships within and beyond the University is essential.
