A high-performing, growth-focused professional services firm in the financial sector is seeking a dynamic Training & Development Specialist to join their evolving team. Your Impact
In this role, you’ll be a driving force behind the firm’s learning and development efforts—from coordinating best-in-class onboarding to supporting a modern internal learning platform. You’ll help create memorable, impactful touchpoints throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring every learning moment is clear, engaging, and aligned to business goals.
You will:
- Orchestrate onboarding experiences that set new hires up for success—managing session logistics, coordinating facilitators, updating resources, and providing ongoing support.
- Support the launch and evolution of internal training programs, ensuring they’re thoughtfully executed and aligned with company values and strategic objectives.
- Manage the behind-the-scenes details of learning delivery—booking training rooms or virtual sessions, preparing materials, sending invites, and keeping the training calendar organized and current.
- Maintain and administer the learning management system (LMS)—uploading content, tracking participation, and producing basic reports that measure engagement and effectiveness.
What You’ll Create
You’ll play a key role in developing accessible, high-quality content that drives development and performance. This includes:
- Designing and delivering slide decks, quick-reference guides, e-learning modules, and other learning tools.
- Conducting research and gathering feedback to continuously improve programs and learner experience.
- Collaborating with subject matter experts to document essential business processes and transform them into practical, easy-to-follow learning materials that support onboarding and upskilling.
What You Bring
- A diploma, degree, or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Adult Education, Communications, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in learning and development, training coordination, or a similar role.
- A working knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design basics.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
- Comfort working with technology—especially Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Teams, Zoom). Experience with LMS platforms or e-learning tools is a plus.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
