What impact will you make?
In this role, your area of focus is Enabling Functions (EF). As a Learning & Development Manager at Deloitte you are responsible for translating the strategic goals of the organization to the EF-Learning Team. In addition, it is part of your responsibilities to integrate trends and developments in the L&D field into a future-proof learning curriculum. You will lead a team of L&D professionals and act as a bridge between your team and business. This means that you need to be able to assert yourself effectively and provide strategic advice to the Enabling Functions and stakeholders. They see you as the trusted learning advisor. You are also responsible for preparating and monitoring the learning budget and taking a leading role in various projects derived from the learning vision and strategy.
How do you do this?
- advise, challenge and partner with stakeholders from Enabling Functions on strategic learning and development questions and topics;
- execute aligned business and learning needs analysis in order to develop and maintain a futureproof L&D Portfolio;
- manage a team of (Junior) L&D Specialists; manage the work, performance, development, wellbeing, recruitment and onboarding of these specific team members;
- manage and execute the annual L&D budgeting process including monitoring the allocation and exploitation of the L&D budget and informing relevant stakeholders;
- keep up to date on developments in the L&D field by building your network and connecting with other teams within Deloitte and external L&D experts;
- manage one or more identified L&D projects or cross-business portfolio’s, in order to continuously improve L&D performance;
- you’re part of the Learning Management Team, contributing to jointly promoting the L&D vision and strategy and embedding this in daily work.

Be the true you
As a Learning & Development Manager, you know how to inspire and motivate the team to achieve excellent results. You are a people manager with L&D knowledge who can play a crucial role in meeting the learning and development needs of the Enabling Functions based on continuous learning. Your knowledge and experience are therefore crucial. Furthermore, for the role of Learning & Development Manager, you should have:
- a University degree, or a University of Applied Sciences (HBO) degree, preferably in the area of Educational Science, Learning & Development, Organisational Psychology, Business Administration or Human Resources Management with at least 5 years of relevant work experience within the Learning & Development field on a strategic level;
- at least 2 years of proven leadership experience managing the performance and development of a team. You are experienced in coaching, guiding and providing feedback;
- work experience within a matrix organization is preferred. As a result, you possess the skills to gain support and implement complex advisory and change processes;
- strong relationship management skills, and moreover, you are capable of providing strategic-level advice to your stakeholders.
- you’re up-to-date with the cutting-edge developments in the field of Learning & Development;
- a drive for quality and creativity, and you know how to achieve excellent results together with your team;
- excellent command of the English and Dutch language.
The role requires a minimum of 32 hours per week, location will be Rotterdam, Utrecht and Amsterdam.

Our team develops and implements the learning curriculum for Deloitte Netherlands. This is regularly reviewed and adjusted where necessary in order to be able to respond to, for example, regulations and an ever-changing demand from the market.
