The Role

The Director of Ops Services will operationalize excellence across our business through Learning & Development, Process Improvement, and Project Management initiatives to drive efficiency, accountability, and business results. This leader will be responsible for developing and implementing best-in-class Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensuring consistency in execution across retail, support center, and manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities

Learning & Development

Ensure strategic alignment between Learning & Development programs and overall business objectives, focusing on improving operational efficiency, guest satisfaction (internal and external), and employee retention.
Conduct regular assessments to identify skill gaps and develop targeted training programs to address these gaps.
Implement “Manager-In-Training” and other leadership initiatives to develop leaders at all levels of the organization.
Implement metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs (e.g., post-training assessments and KPIs linked to operational outcomes).

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Execution

Support the development, implementation, and updating of SOPs across all business functions (Manufacturing, Retail, Support Center).
Work with key stakeholders and leadership to ensure consistent execution of SOPs through organized training and embedding operational discipline.
Create a process infrastructure that translates strategy into execution, ensuring teams operate with clarity, efficiency, and focus.
Guide teams responsible for cataloging process improvements, including:
Documenting processes within approved templates.
Gathering and structuring content for updates.
Drafting communications related to SOP improvements.
Coordinating projects and tracking tasks related to process optimization.
Monitoring and reporting project progress.
Facilitating the intake and distribution of communication between support center teams and retail/manufacturing teams.

Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement

Foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organization through improving operational efficiency and optimizing process.
Design, implement, and maintain structured weekly, monthly, and quarterly business cadences that focus teams on key objectives.
Partner with leadership to ensure that business meetings, reviews, and check-ins are structured and outcome oriented.
Establish frameworks for teams to self-identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
Work with Retail leadership to operationalize new brand initiatives including, but not limited to, menu expansion, daypart expansion, retail format innovation (e.g., new store formats, kiosks, drive-thru, etc.).
Own and manage the brand implementation calendar, acting as the gatekeeper to pace and sequence key initiatives before they reach retail execution.

Qualifications

10+ years’ experience of leading operations within high-growth retail, restaurants, hospitality, or service-based businesses.
Expertise in Training, Learning & Development, Business Process Improvement, Project Management, and Continuous Improvement frameworks.
Proven track record of building and scaling SOPs that drive efficiency across multi-unit businesses.
Experience designing and implementing data-driven business cadences to drive operational performance.
Knowledge of omnichannel retail operations and corporate HQ functions.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive cultural adoption of best practices.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and process.
Ability to turn strategy into process, and execution at scale.
Strong communication and presentation skills with executive presence.
Working knowledge of Human Resources best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel).
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
High level of organization and time management skills.
Must be able to attend all mandatory meetings.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
If located in Los Angeles, the Director of Operations Services will work a hybrid schedule (2-3 days per week) in our Culver City office.
