Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Instructional Designer & Content Developer to design, develop, and enhance HR-focused training programs, including leadership development, competency-based learning, and career development initiatives. This role will focus on creating engaging and effective learning experiences across multiple modalities, including instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (vILT), e-learning, and blended learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Design & Content Development
- Design and develop HR-focused training programs aligned with leadership development, competencies, and career progression.
- Create interactive and engaging learning experiences using various formats, including e-learning, workshops, videos, simulations, and microlearning.
- Develop facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, and assessments to support learning objectives.
- Ensure training content is aligned with adult learning principles, instructional design best practices (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and business needs.
- Leverage data, learner feedback, and performance metrics to continuously refine and improve training programs.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with HR, Learning & Development, and business leaders to assess training needs and define learning objectives.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content.
- Work with facilitators to ensure seamless delivery of training across different modalities.
- Support the integration of competency frameworks into learning programs to drive career development.
Technology & Learning Modalities
- Utilize learning technologies, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate), and video editing software to develop content.
- Design interactive e-learning modules, scenario-based simulations, and gamified learning experiences.
- Adapt training for various audiences, including frontline employees, managers, and senior leaders.
- Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in learning content.
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Develop assessments, quizzes, and knowledge checks to measure learning effectiveness.
- Analyze training impact using evaluation models (e.g., Kirkpatrick’s Levels of Evaluation).
- Recommend improvements based on feedback, engagement data, and business outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, HR, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or L&D roles with a focus on HR-related training.
- Strong understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design methodologies, and training evaluation techniques.
- Experience with e-learning development tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise, etc.) and LMS platforms.
- Ability to create engaging training materials in multiple formats (videos, presentations, e-learning modules, job aids).
- Excellent writing, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and adapt training programs to different learner needs.
