If you have a strong track record in coaching and developing senior leaders, then this role might be for you. Mills & Reeve have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Learning & Development manager to join the team.
The role
We are looking for a highly experienced, credible learning and development professional to drive leadership capability to ensure Mills and Reeve delivers against it's 2030 strategy. The role requires close liaison with many people, in particular senior lawyers and business services leaders, internal coaching network, human resources, marketing, national service line leaders, regulatory bodies and external providers.
The person
Given the responsibilities of this role, it is likely that your background will include experience of:
- Training and developing others within a fast paced, intellectually rigorous environment (professional service firm experience preferred)
- High quality coaching at senior level
- Presenting and facilitating
- Project management
- Experience in debriefing psychometric tools (ideally NEO-PI-3)
The Role Additionally Requires Someone Who
- Is willing to undertake additional study e.g. qualifying in relevant psychometric instruments to support development programmes
- Is able and willing to regularly travel to all Mills & Reeve LLP offices and other sites within the
The activities
- To deliver high quality coaching support to senior lawyers and business services leaders
- To support individuals / groups with career development and ensuring career pathways are transparent and accessible
- To identify learning and development needs driven by the firm's strategy to be leaders in client experience, innovation, people experience and sectors and markets, using analysis of data gathered from discussions, surveys and the internal performance review system.
- To support the firm's talent management and development programmes, and continually enhance programmes to meet evolving needs.
- To curate and develop new and innovative approaches withing learning and development and embed into our way of working
- To deliver innovative learning interventions using a deliberately developmental philosophy
- To develop or procure best practice resources, e-learning, apps and support to complement traditional classroom learning that support the curation of the Learning Management System (LMS) to provide internal clientele with a depth and breadth of learning, resources and development
- To project manage and support the successful delivery of national firm events and awaydays
- To facilitate meetings to a high standard
- To take on strategic projects that support business improvement initiatives e.g. achieving Investors in People awards, diversity initiatives, setting up mentoring schemes
- To actively participate in driving the Mills & Reeve 2030 strategy
