Role Overview: USAM is seeking a visionary Venture Partner with a robust network and profound expertise in the startup ecosystem, particularly early-stage startups and EdTech ventures. The ideal VP will identify and secure lucrative investment opportunities that align with USAM's strategic goals, facilitating our mission of educational empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Sourcing: Leverage personal and professional networks to scout and secure high-potential investment opportunities. Engage actively with startups, attending pitch days, and networking events to expand our investment portfolio.
Due Diligence: Participate in evaluating potential investments, assessing financial health, business models, and growth potential to ensure alignment with USAM's objectives.
Portfolio Support: Provide ongoing mentorship and strategic advice to portfolio companies, helping them scale their operations and achieve market success.
Fundraising Support: Assist in fundraising initiatives for USAM by tapping into your networks, attracting co-investors, and securing financial backing from external sources.
Strategic Engagement: Engage with USAM's leadership on strategic investment decisions and initiatives, offering insights and advice based on market trends and investment opportunities.

Requirements:

Proven track record in venture capital, particularly in sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management.
Deep understanding and operational experience within the EdTech and startup ecosystems.
Strong network of contacts in the investment community, including VCs, angel investors, and startup incubators.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with entrepreneurs and investors.
Passionate about educational technology and its potential to transform learning experiences.
