Job Description

Lead the design and implementation of the EMEA Learning & Development strategy.
Build management capability and foster a high-performance culture.
Oversee governance, operations, budget and L&D team leadership across EMEA.
Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with organisational goals.
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify training needs and opportunities for employee growth.
Design and implement innovative learning programmes to enhance employee skills and competencies.
Manage and oversee the L&D budget to ensure effective resource allocation.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives to ensure desired outcomes.
Lead and mentor the L&D team to achieve departmental objectives.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in learning and development.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in all training programmes.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of L&D should have:

Proven expertise in designing and implementing learning and development strategies.
Experience in the financial services, professional services or regulated sectors.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
A track record of delivering measurable results through effective training initiatives.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and compliance requirements.
Expert in learning and organisational development; understanding of adult learning principles and psychology.
Strategic thinking, analytical ability, strong stakeholder management, consultative approach, project management, and facilitation.

Strong academic credentials, ideally supplemented by HR or psychology-related qualifications
