The Training and Development Consultant works to support the development and continuous improvement of asynchronous online and live/virtual training courses and modules .

Essential Responsibilities:

Manage tools used for the development of professional learning online courses.

Support the development and evolution of asynchronous, online and live/virtual professional learning courses.

Support content updates and transfer of content for acquired trainings to Learn Upon and Literacy Instructional System
Make content contributions and support the completion of enhancements to acquired courses
Stylize and brand resources using marketed approved templates and layouts develop by PL for use in online courses
Edit training materials based on trainer feedback
Assist with maintaining the official copies of resources and content that is uploaded to digital platforms
Acquire and maintain records of use permissions for any outside content needed within courses
Manages the course design documents, planning tools, and learning object repository for all online courses
Assist with the development of learning objects for use in online and onsite courses (ispring, quizlets, infographics, etc.)

Review course content for consistency and editing
Identifies new technology resources for added engagement in online courses
Project manage course development, assets, and supports.
Update interactives to use in live and virtual training environments. Support onboarding of new team members to support process and content understanding

Skills and Qualifications:

Master's degree in K-6 education and/or advanced degrees in education, reading, or special education.
5 years of experience teaching reading at the primary level.
Experience working with children having difficulty learning to read and evidence of success in improving student reading achievement.
Extensive knowledge of scientifically based reading research and training in widely used core reading programs.
Extensive knowledge and experience working with Acadience Reading (formerly
DIBELS
) and other assessments and screeners.
Extensive professional development and coaching experience. Experience providing workshops to teachers, as well as have experience in a reading coach’s
role.

Knowledge about Reading First, training in
LETRS
, and any multisensory structured language approach, such as Orton-Gillingham.
Strong interpersonal skills that build relationships of trust and confidence.
A communication and management style that exhibits the mission and values of 95 Percent Group and fosters effective team relationships.

The ability to build and foster remote team relationships.
Passion for literacy and improving reading achievement for students.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

Standard office equipment/computer usage.
Work environment is an office setting with a low to average noise level.
